What do you think this one is worth?
Thanks,
Rob

Nice Name Rob.

I prefer the plural over the singular. I recall the singular went for $20,000. So I would price this around that price range.

Low figure $10,000, Higher end up to $30,000. A tough sell in today's economy though.

I think its worth more personally, 40K to 50K

Indeed this is a good domain. To speculate a price given the current market, I have no idea, but would not sell below xx,xxx. Also agree with theinvestor that the plural is better then singular.

Tough market for domains? Or type of domains?

Tough market for domains? Or type of domains?

I'm no adult expert, but it seems intuitive that its tougher for adult oriented domains specific to the canadian market, assuming that most people are probably thinking of it as a porn type name. The problem is that porn doesn't have much of a canadian specific market. if you're going to the trouble to build a porn site, you'd probably want to attract global users, not just canadians. And canadians or the rest of the world doesn't typically discriminate to want "canadian porn" as opposed to "american porn" or "european porn" or whatever. So I'd say any .ca adult names have that problem, and its a big one. A .ca niche porn site _could_ be successful, I'm just guessing it would be much tougher to sell.

It might be better used as a lesbians dating site for canadians - where finding someone local is more important? not sure though if the word "lesbians" is too associated to porn though for even that to be successful...

I agree, Canadian porno market not really country specific. I have some dating sites and was thinking that would be the extent of my adult webmaster career :)

Actually, dating niche sites have been my most consistent online income producers over parked domains and affiliate sites.

Thanks

I don't see too much competition in terms of lesbian dating sites. I am no expert on this though.. so just a hunch.

I found a couple in canada : planetsappho.com and lesbianscanada.ca the latter being an excellent target for a sale.

OR, dotca could try buying lesbianscanada.ca and rebranding it as lesbians.ca.... Actually, I see its just a whitelabel... maybe just sign up for your own whitelabel through tangowire.com and giv'er a go?

Have you tried the dating angle on this site yet?

out of curiosity, how are your dating niche sites powered? (affiliate, white label, etc?) just curious what has worked for you.. I'm sure I could find a few good niche dating names in my portfolio if I looked...

Using tango (they are ran really well) - doing some research on dating factory and they seem to have a good white label program so will probably set this in motion.

They take time to get going.

Question about tango, do they allow you to do custom seo and content so you can work towards better rankings?
I've got a great set of niche .com dating names and I've just been too lazy to find a whitelabel... maybe this will motivate me to try it too...

Yes, front page only - title, description and 4 headers with paragraphs. They monitor closely and are pretty selective but that is probably a good thing.

Sweet domain I'd put it in the 30-50k class.

Dating factory is an ok platform and one of my friends is having some success with it. You have to be prepared to do the seo, logos etc so that it doesn't look so affiliate like.

I would also consider a more facebook like (member) site. I think in the long run that could produce a more viable site.

I used to own LesbiansCanada.ca/com and ran that site. It made me close to $200 a month. Sign up with Tangowire or Datingfactory.com and you will do well.
